In my line of work on a Friday you get folk who rock up with "This went wrong on Monday but I have left it to get worse all week and now I need you to fix it*right now* because weekend"

Then on Mondays you get "This has been a nightmare all weekend"

So essentially the best outcome is to somehow swing both days off and let someone else mop up the problems 😉

I love this! I was smiling whilst reading it and that is always a bonus.

For me, I cannot remember the last day off I actually had - the planning and organisation involved in a 'day off' for me is like planning a national event. But this post has made me realise, I miss those social moments. #musttryharder

A Monday off, for sure. I always liked a Monday off. There's also the chance to 'shake off the previous week' on the Saturday giving you Sunday (and your bonus 'Sunday') to do all the 'extra day off things. Though, weirdly, quite a lot is closed on Mondays and that can be pesky if you want to flaunt your "this is what I did on my day off, team".
